ALBERT MOUHADEB

Albert Mouhadeb was born in 1952 in Lebanon and was brought up by his parents as the sixth of seven children. In 1970 the family immigrated to Israel. 
After spending some time in a Kibbutz he was recruited to the army and after two years released on health grounds. He then became a diamond cutter and after working  in the profession a couple of years moved to Mexico joining the business of his brother who had moved there. After six years of successfully working there, the business collapsed and he subsequently suffered a mental breakdown. His father came and brought him back home to Israel in 1979, where he went back to live with his parents. 
While being treated for his mental condition, he was encouraged by his father to acquire a profession he became an hair dresser. When starting a treatment in a mental health hospital his mental health stabilized and he became a regular out patient in the hospital. He joined an Art Therapy group and found his vocation. Since then and for the last 25 years Albert has been painting regularly, having discovered a new world through art. Painting became his vocation and devotion.
Mouhadeb’s works have been exhibited in France in 1999 and in 2007 and in Belgium in 2000. Exhibitions of his works were exhibited in Israel in 2011 and in 2012.

Albert Mouhadeb è nato nel 1952 in Libano, sesto di sette figli. Nel 1970 la famiglia emigrò in Israele. 
Dopo aver trascorso qualche tempo in un Kibbutz fu reclutato nell’esercito e dopo due anni fu rilasciato per motivi di salute. È quindi diventato un tagliatore di diamanti e dopo un paio di anni si trasferì in Messico per praticare il suo nuovo mestiere con suo fratello. Dopo sei anni di lavoro e di ottimi  risultati, l’attività è crollata, fatto che gli provocò un crollo mentale. Suo padre lo riportò a casa in Israele nel 1979, dove è tornato a vivere in famiglia.
Durante il periodo di cura per la sua condizione mentale, è stato incoraggiato dal padre a rimettersi in gioco dal punto di vista professionale: divenne quindi un parrucchiere. Al momento del miglioramento psichico poté uscire regolarmente dall’ospedale unendosi ad un gruppo di arte terapia, dove ha trovato la sua vocazione. Da allora in poi Albert dipinge regolarmente, avendo scoperto un nuovo mondo attraverso l’arte. La pittura è diventata la sua vocazione e devozione.
Le  opere di Mouhadeb sono state esposte in Francia nel 1999 e nel 2007 e in Belgio nel 2000. Mostre dei suoi lavori sono stati protagonisti di mostre in Israele nel 2011 e nel 2012.
